What is the liquids rule for hand luggage, and has it changed at Berlin airport (BER)?
Each container can hold at most 100 ml, with 1 litre in total, all in one clear bag. At BER, some security lanes with new scanners let you keep liquids in your bag, but not every lane.
Airport security does this check, not the airline, so it does not matter which airline you fly with. The bag must be clear and resealable.
At Berlin airport (BER), some security lanes have new scanners. There you can go through without taking your liquids out, and a coffee in hand has even gone through. A sign at the entrance to these lanes says you do not need to remove liquids.
If you end up in another lane, the old rule applies: 100 ml per container and 1 litre in total. Anything over that is thrown away.
On the way back, airports in Turkey may still apply the old rule. Check the airport's website for the current situation before you fly.
