What's the best way to send money from Germany to Turkey?
Sending money by SWIFT from a bank can be expensive, so look at online transfer apps such as Remitly, Wise or Revolut. Fees and exchange rates differ between apps, so compare before you send.
Remitly gets the best feedback. The fee is usually about 1-2 euros, the money arrives within minutes and the rate is considered good. The fee can be lower when you send lira and higher when you send euros.
Wise and Revolut are also used. With Revolut the money often arrives the same day. One review says Wise has raised its fees recently.
You can send lira or euros to Turkey. Which currency arrives depends on the option you choose.
Fees and rates change often. Before you send, compare a few apps and look at the total cost: the fee plus the exchange rate difference.
