My surname changed after marriage. How do I update my Anmeldung?
First have your passport and ID changed to your new surname at the Turkish consulate and get a Formül B. Then book an appointment at the Bürgeramt to update your details. The new certificate can cost about 10 euros.
You start at the consulate, where you have your passport and ID card changed to your new surname.
Next, get a Formül B (international extract from the marriage register).
Then book an appointment at the Bürgeramt (citizens' service office). At the appointment, explain the situation and show your documents.
The Bürgeramt updates your details and gives you a new Anmeldung certificate (proof of registration) with your new surname.
