During my thesis, can I go back to Turkey without extending my permit and write it from there?
If you do not need to come back to Germany for your defence or anything else, it may not be a problem. If you do need to come back, your permit will have expired, so you will have to apply for a new visa from Turkey, which can take months.
Before you decide, talk to your university: can you defend remotely, and can the diploma be posted to Turkey? It is also worth asking the immigration office.
Even if your permit has not expired, it usually lapses if you leave Germany for good. The same applies if you stay outside Germany for more than 6 months.
