There are small moths in my home. What should I do?
These small moths usually come from open dry food. Find the source, throw away affected food, clean the cupboards and buy moth traps from dm or Rossmann.
Small moths flying around the kitchen or a room are usually pantry moths. They mostly come from dry food such as flour, bulgur, cereal, spices, hazelnuts, peanuts, walnuts or almonds. They are more common in warm weather.
Check all open dry food. If the moths have laid eggs, throw that food away, because they multiply very quickly. Food in the fridge is usually fine.
Clean the inside of your cupboards thoroughly and keep dry food in sealed containers.
dm and Rossmann sell sticky moth traps, which slow down breeding. Lavender can also help against clothes moths.
