If I get married while my visa application is in progress, will it affect my application?
Getting married usually does not block your visa application, but details such as marital status and surname change. Inform the consulate and your employer immediately; if you change your surname and get a new passport, ask in advance which passport the visa will be valid in.
For your own visa: The requirements for a work, study or Ausbildung visa are not affected by marriage. But since the information in your application (marital status, surname) changes, inform the consulate or visa application centre in writing. Giving incorrect or incomplete information causes problems.
Surname and passport: If you change your surname after marriage and get a new passport, the visa stays in your old passport. You may then need to travel with both passports and your marriage certificate. Ask the consulate beforehand whether this will be accepted. You could also consider not changing your surname, or getting the new passport after arriving in Germany; in Germany the residence permit can be transferred to the new passport.
If your spouse is coming too: If you are going as a skilled worker, your spouse can apply for a family reunification visa at the same time or later. Whether the marriage took place before or after the visa can affect family reunification requirements for some permit types (for example waiting periods or language requirements). Blue Card and skilled worker permits have easier rules for spouses.
Validity of the marriage in Germany: A civil marriage in Turkey is also valid in Germany. Get the international marriage certificate (Formul B) with an apostille; you will need it for family reunification and residence procedures.
