I'm moving into a new flat. Where can I find cheap or second-hand furniture?
Free or cheap items on Kleinanzeigen, flea market groups and second-hand shops are good options. For new but affordable furniture, look at outlets and discount stores.
Kleinanzeigen (classifieds site) has lots of free or cheap second-hand items. You can also look at Flohmarkt (flea markets) and second-hand groups on social media.
If transport is a problem, add 'Lieferung möglich' (delivery possible) to your Kleinanzeigen search. Ads from second-hand shops that deliver usually come up. These shops reportedly deliver to the kerb for about 30 euros and into your home for about 50 to 60 euros.
Berlin has large second-hand stores like NochMall. You can find furniture, dishes and cupboards cheaply, and delivery may be available.
For new but affordable furniture, stores like the Home24 outlet and JYSK were recommended.
